A connect fee will be applied to your first bill. In addition, a security deposit will also be applied to your first bill. The deposit amount is determined based on average kilowatt hours at the service location and is approximately two times the average monthly bill. When your new account is offically created in our system, you will receive an email stating the fees and deposit that will be due, in addition to your first month's usage, with your first bill.

Residential: Applicant certifies that Applicant is the owner, leasee, or tenant of the premises where the service is applied for and agrees to pay the applicable rates and abide by the terms and conditions as prescribed by the Tariff for all present and future utility service. Acceptance of this application by the Municipality of Anchorage constitutes a contract between the Municipality and the applicant, including partners.

The conditions under which a deposit will be required or waived are set forth in Municipal Light & Power's Tariff. Applicant declares that the information provided is true, accurate, and complete to the best of the Applicant's knowledge and belief, and it is voluntarily submitted for the purpose of receiving electric service. It is understood that upon presentation, this application becomes the property of the Municipality.

Please note: meter access is a requirement for service. Failure to provide access may result in discontinued service.

The applicant declares the information provided is true, accurate, and complete to the best of the applicant’s knowledge and belief. The information contained in the application has been voluntarily submitted for the purpose of receiving electric service, and is understood upon presentation, this application becomes the property of the Municipality.

Preferred Billing Method: By selecting E-bill as your preferred Billing Method, you are authorizing Municipal Light & Power to discontinue sending paper bills and begin eBilling each month for the billing of your electric account. This will remain in effect until you notify Municipal Light & Power to discontinue.
